Heavy waste processing complex of Lukoil, Bourgas

The complex for processing of heavy residues in LUKOIL Neftochim Burgas JSC is the largest catalytic installation for hydrocracking in Eastern Europe. The value of the first phase of the project exceeds 1.5 billion dollars.

The project for the construction of the HWPC is under license of the French company AXENS – leader in the field of licensed technologies for petroleum refining, petrochemistry and gas processing, supported by almost 50 years of successes in the research and industrial field. The first stage of the construction of the complex includes the construction of the first main installation-H-Oil-Installation for hydrocracking of vacuum residue in reactors in fluidized bed reactors H-Oil with a design power of raw material 2.5, 1 million t/d and auxiliary installations: first Hydrogen installation, an Amines regeneration unit, an Acid-water separation section and a Fire alarm system, a new transformer site that gives the voltage to the first basic installation and an H-Oil purification plant.
