The metro station is part of the M3 line. The construction of the facility is based on the Milan method. The station has one vestibule, with three entrances/ exits. Its length is 131.7 m, and its width - 18.5 m. Its depth from ground level is 21 m on average. It is located in a landmark place for the citizens of Sofia, known as "Popa" - west of the intersection of Sv. Patriarh Evtimiy Boulevard and Graf Ignatiev Street. This central location necessitates the displacement of a large amount of underground infrastructure during construction, including water supply and sewerage, electricity, low-current, heat transfer and other networks.
